If you have experienced a problem with undoing the lid on any Baby Bio Feed bottles such as House Plant Food or Orchid Food, then read on
Baby Bio is one of our most successful ranges due to to its great results and stability, however if you are unable to use this product we can fully understand your disappointment at the difficulty in opening your bottle.
We make every effort to ensure our products are of the highest quality and that they reach our customers in the best possible condition. A number of spot checks are carried out, as part of our standard quality control procedures, at every stage of production to minimise the likelihood of defective products reaching our customers. Associated triggers or closures to our bottles are machine tightened by a fully automated packing process; the machines are checked on a regular basis to ensure that the closures are tightened to a specific torque. All batches are randomly checked by hand for leaks and that the closures are correctly tightened.
This type of outcome is unusual, but due to the sheer volume of these bottles sold, occasional faults are unfortunately a reality.
We are very sorry to hear that despite these quality checks, the Baby Bio product you have bought turned out to be difficult to open. That is very unfortunate and we would like to suggest a few tips which might help you open the lid:
- The bottle lid needs to first be pushed down, ideally on a hard, non-slip surface, then twisted whilst being continually pressed down. A tea towel will allow a greater grip.
- If this does not work, please pour 5cm (2 inches) of very hot water into a jug and introduce the Baby Bio bottle upside down into the jug, with the lid and neck immersed in the hot water. Leave to stand for approximately one minute. Remove the bottle and dry with a cloth, then immediately go through the above procedure again. We have found that this process loosens the lid significantly and should allow you to undo it. Once undone you will find that normal tightening after use will allow you to undo the lid with ease.
- If none of these methods work the do contact us on 0330 330 3563 or email uk.gardenadvice@sbm-company.com and we will replace your bottle
